After graduation, she entered a talent contest that brought her to Los Angeles where she was signed by a theatrical agent. Before long, she was landing parts in daytime series like, "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "General Hospital". She also co-starred on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and played Isabella on "The Young and the Restless". Eva Longoria grew into an international star while playing Gabrielle Solis on "Desperate Housewives".
She founded the Eva Longoria Foundation that aids Latinas in building better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship. She earned a master’s degree in Chicano Studies presenting her thesis on "Success STEMS from Diversity: The Value of Latinas in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine."
