Andy Garcia personifies the title "Leading Man". He has nearly 300 credits in film and Tv to his name, many of them legendary films. A native of Havana Cuba he and his family left Cuba to start a life in the United States, landing in Miami Beach where his family became highly successful in the fragrance business. He was a popular student at Nautilus Junior High School and graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School. He was a good basketball player in high school and dreamed of becoming a professional player, but illness forced him to abandon his sports dreams and take up acting.
All in all, not a bad move as it turned out. He has had an incredible career including having appeared in such successful Hollywood films as "The Godfather Part III", "The Untouchables", "Internal Affairs" and "When a Man Loves a Woman", "Ocean's Eleven", "Ocean's Twelve" and "Ocean's Thirteen".
He was an Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actor for Godfather III and won an Emmy Award and was Golden Circle Nominated for “For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story”.
